Build-A-Bear Workshop established the Huggable Heroes Program in 2004 as a way to recognize kids that demonstrate extraordinary service for causes that make a difference in the quality of life in their local communities and around the world. SUNY Oswego’s On Screen/In Person film series will wrap up its season April 18, at Oswego Cinema 7 with a collection of six films titled “What We Need Is the Impossible!” The show will start at 7 p.m. at the movie theatre, 138 W. Second St., followed by a question-and-answer session with the films’ director, Sam Green.
The Oswego State baseball team (10-10) got out to an early lead Wednesday, but failed to sustain the advantage, falling 7-4 to St. John Fisher in a non-conference contest. The Lakers struggled to close out innings, surrendering five runs with two outs during the game.

The Oswego High School Guard finished off an undefeated season at The Mid-York Color Guard Circuit Championships this past weekend at North Syracuse Junior High School.

Oswego State freshman Tori Trovato (Fulton, N.Y.) has been named the ECAC Division III Upstate Player of the Week in a release on April 9. Trovato hit .625 from the plate with a .647 on-base percentage and a 1.062 slugging percentage over the weekend.
