School Bus Safety Puppet Show Reinforces Safety Message
The Transportation Department in the Sandy Creek Central School District entertained and educated students at Sandy Creek Elementary School with a puppet show all about school bus safety. The program utilized a school bus puppet stage and the puppeteers used songs with safety message lyrics and tunes from current popular hits.

Roll Over on State Route 3 in Fulton
A crash reportedly occurred on State Route 3 in front of CT Farm and Tractor in Fulton at approximately 2:30 p.m.today, according to contributing photographer Rick Grosvent. One victim had to be cut out of the overturned vehicle. She was transported to Upstate by Menter ambulance with what appears to be non-life threatening injuries.

Oswego Kartway Returns to Racing Friday
Oswego Kartway will be back in action this Friday, May 17 with its second event of the 2013 championship season. The Kartway’s Mitchell’s Speedway Press ‘Kick-Off’ on May 3 was a tremendous success with a total of 84 entries taking the green flag between 11 different classes of racing.

Oswego City School District Transportation Center hosted students from the BUC Junior/Senior High School for the year to work on mechanical studies. Dan Elen, mechanic and lead mentor for the students, skillfully guided them through several projects.
Port City Roller Derby meets Roc City in home opener May 25
Port City Roller Derby will kick off its third home season by battling the Roc City Roller Derby B-Sides on May 25, in Crisafulli Rink. Doors open at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. whistle for the opening bout, as the new Port City Roller Derby Lagoon Squad juniors, ages 10 to 17, take on Black Mamba Junior Derby.
