The Oswego County Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council will honor emergency medical services providers for outstanding patient care during the annual awards banquet May 10, at Bayshore, 104 Bayshore Drive in Oswego.
The college and board is working to reduce expenditures of its $32.36 million operating budget by approximately $1.5 million before the end of the fiscal year on August 31, 2013, to help make up for an unexpected 5 percent enrollment decrease.

Cuban master percussionist Emilio del Monte will perform with the SUNY Oswego Latin Jazz Ensemble and the Rochester-based Mambo Kings at 7:30 p.m. May 8, in a free concert at Tyler Hall’s Waterman Theatre.

On May 13, the Greater Fulton Area Council of Christian Churches will gather for its annual Christian Unity Supper. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and will be hosted by All Saints Episcopal Church, Academy and South First streets.
Open to youth ages 8 through 14, Camp Hollis offers a week-long summer residential camp experience complete with swimming, nature hikes, games, campfires, arts and crafts, and many more activities. Camp Hollis is owned and operated by the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau.
The Oswego High School Winter Ensemble earned the state title in its division at the Mid-York Color Guard Circuit Championships. Recently, the group was recognized for its undefeated season by the Oswego Board of Education.
The long off season since the Outlaw 200 weekend last October is finally over. This Saturday night the Fulton Speedway will swing the gates open on the new season presented by Ferris Industries.
