CNY Arts Center and Kids Onstage have chosen Charlotte’s Web for the next all youth production. The popular classic will be presented August 16 – 18 with the lovable characters of E.B.White’s tale of friendship and sacrifice.

Cayuga Community College and Onondaga Community College today announced an agreement that creates a career pathway for Cayuga students to earn an associate’s degree in Health Information Technology at Onondaga. The agreement is in response to a workforce demand for health information technicians specializing in medical records in the regions served by Cayuga.
State Senator Patty Ritchie will honor more than 40 teachers from Oswego, Jefferson and St. Lawrence Counties at a special event to be held Thursday in Watertown. Honorees were nominated for Senator Ritchie’s “Teachers of Excellence” program for their dedication and commitment to education by colleagues, former students, friends and family members.
More than half a million dollars in scholarships, grants, endowments and awards were handed out to graduating seniors from Altmar-Parish-Williamstown High School at their annual Senior Awards banquet on June 4.
The following Volney Elementary School students were presented with a Principal’s Award for demonstrating effort, the May character virtue of the month.
Families who have a child with a mental health diagnosis are invited to attend a special Family Fun Day on June 26 from noon – 2 p.m. at Foster Park in Fulton. Hosted by Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s Family Education and Partnerships and Family Support Services programs, the Family Fun Day offers families who have a child with a mental health diagnosis an afternoon of games and activities for the whole family.
The Oswego High School Top 100 students were recognized for the twenty-fourth consecutive year. Several hundred people packed the Oswego High School Dining Hall for the annual “Top 100” dinner. This year, Oswego Rotary, PathFinder Bank, NBT Bank, and the Oswego City School District hosted the event with the Oswego City School District Food Service Department supplying a buffet extravaganza.
One recent classroom experience was a visit by an occupational therapist that was coordinated by the program’s instructor to coincide with the students’ reading of Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper, a novel about a young girl that does not allow Cerebral Palsy to define her.
