Riding Camp For Kids Saddles Up on Monday

horseTwo local young women are sharing their love of horses with others this week and again in August. The next session of the Bits and Pieces Horseback Riding Camp will be held on Monday. Another is set to open August 12. The camp is geared toward youngsters 6 to 12 years old. To check on openings for this week, call Megan Colloca at 529-4846 or Brianna Amedio at 529-7031.

Food Drive Planned For Local Food Pantry

Oswego County AmeriCorps member Eve Simmonds will be hosting a food drive that will benefit the Catholic Charities of Oswego County Food Pantry. The drive will be held from July 19 through 21, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Voorhees Park in Fulton. Accepted donations include non-perishable food, such as canned fruits, canned vegetables, rice, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, and pasta.

Pat Ward Makes Late Charge For His Third Trip To Fulton Speedway Modified Victory Lane

Pat Ward, a fan favorite where ever he goes, has always been known as one of the most low-keyed drivers in modified racing. After Saturday night’s win at the Fulton Speedway, Ward exited his car banging on the roof and waving the checkered flag in excitement after a late charge and pass of Chuck Bower in the caution free 35 lap Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modified feature.

Library exhibit about Oswego West Pierhead Lighthouse Set

The library’s lighthouse exhibit will be in place until August 5. The public is invited to a reception on July 22 from 6 to 7 p.m. to meet the current keeper, Ted Panayotoff, and enjoy some refreshments. Ted has extensively researched the West Pierhead Lighthouse and will be available to answer any questions.
