Frank Clavelli Jr. has announced his candidacy for the Oswego City Council to represent the Fifth Ward. Clavelli, a former Second Ward councilor, filed his designating petitions at the Oswego Board of Elections, submitting more than twice the amount of needed signatures to secure a ballot placement.
Board Certified ENT physicians Nicholas Groch, D.O. and Melanie Pence, D.O. will open an office in suite 210 of the Oswego Health Services Center, located adjacent to Oswego Hospital on October 8.
Got books? The Port City’s Little Free Library Project, which began this summer, has been so successful that it could use an infusion of some more books. The goal is to promote people getting to know their communities more and to promote literacy.

The award will be presented at the annual Celebrations Program and Awards Event to be held at the Fulton Polish Home on November 1 at 5:30 p.m.
SUNY Oswego is proud to be hosting its 22nd annual United Way Walk-A-Thon. Each year it is sponsored by Auxiliary Services and is now coordinated by VEGA, a women’s honor society. All proceeds of the walk will go to United Way of Greater Oswego County and will ultimately benefit various programs within the community.
Paul Douglas Church, 82, of Oswego Road, Baldwinsville, passed away on Tuesday October 1, 2013.
