The Christmas Kettle campaign makes up about one-third of the Oswego County Salvation Army’s annual budget. Each season, the funds raised are donated to those in need. In many cases, anything from heating bills and activities such as summer camps for children are supported. With less than two weeks to go, they would benefit from an additional 50 to 100 volunteers.

The Oswego State men’s basketball team improved to 7-1 heading into the New Year with an easy 79-49 victory over Cazenovia College on Friday night in Max Ziel Gymnasium. The Lakers opened the game on a 17-1 run over the first 4:31 and never looked back.
