The Oswego County Health Department offers a variety of services to all residents of Oswego County, including preventive health services, certified home health care, long-term home health care, certified hospice, and a maternal and child health program.
Upon entering the Oswego Middle School art room immediately visitors’ attention is turned toward a massive ceramic sea aquarium mural. Student teacher Cassandra Mazur has conducted a collaborative project with seventh and eighth graders to create a lasting memory for students. The mural will be open for community viewing on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the Oswego Middle School Art Room.
Minetto United Methodist Church will present its annual Joy of Christmas vocal and instrumental music program on December 15, at 3:30 p.m. The concert will include music by the Oswego County New Horizons Band, conducted by Frank Bickel and the New Horizons Chorus, directed by Mary Lou Carpenter-Bjorkman and accompanied by Sue Maxwell.
The holiday sharing and giving program at the Oswego Middle School benefited from the generous donation by Compass Federal Credit Union. The OMS Home and School Association will put the money to good use during the holiday season.

Spencer Saraf, a SUNY Oswego senior majoring in chemistry who graduates this month, has received a travel award from the National Science Foundation to present the surprising results of her summer research on eyesight to an international audience of scientists. She will make her presentation at the annual meeting of the Society of Integrative and Comparative Biology in January in Austin, Texas.

Santa Claus made an appearance with his wife in Fulton around 7 p.m. on Thursday. Even in the light rain, the city of Fulton lit up its Christmas Tree Jubilee and began holiday festivities.
Mild weather and some sprinkles greeted the hundreds who attended the annual ceremony. The city’s holiday tree was lit Thursday night in Civic Plaza. And, Santa greeted scores of youngsters eager to tell him their Christmas wish lists.
