Springside Knitters Make Baby Hats for Oswego Hospital’s Maternity Center
Newborn babies at Oswego Hospital will be kept warm this fall and winter with hats made by the Springside at Seneca Hill knitters club. Members of the club meet regularly to complete a variety of knitting projects that they donate to various organizations.

Assemblyman Will Barclay recently held his Summer Reading Challenge reward party at the Oswego Public Library. More than 100 kids from the 120th Assembly district participated in the Summer Reading Challenge and read for at least 15 minutes for 40 days during July and August.

Youth Snowmobile Safety Classes To Be Held
New York State Law requires that youths ages 10 through 17 successfully complete an eight hour Young Snowmobile Operator Safety Course and be in possession of a Safety Certificate before they can legally operate a snowmobile.
College to offer ‘Safe Trick or Treat’ events for children Nov. 3
SUNY Oswego’s residence halls will provide “Safe Trick or Treat” for children in sixth grade or under accompanied by an adult, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 3. Families can look for balloons outside participating residence halls. Children also can take part in a variety of Halloween games and activities that day from noon to 3 p.m. in the Campus Center.
Oswego Hospital Has New Transport Chair
Oswego Hospital now has something in common with the Disney Company and the St. Regis in Cairo, Egypt; the renowned architect Michael Graves. This past June, the Stryker Company, a maker of medical equipment and the New York City-based architect, unveiled a redesigned transport chair.
