Cancer Services Program Partners with SUNY Oswego to Make a Human Pink Ribbon

More than 150 community members came together last year, dressed in pink, to raise awareness of breast cancer by forming a human pink ribbon in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year the community is invited to join OCO Cancer Services Program Partnership in front of Culkin Hall on the SUNY Oswego Campus for the fourth annual Human Ribbon Celebration.In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Oswego County Opportunities’ Cancer Services Program Partnership has joined SUNY Oswego to assist them in their efforts to raise awareness of breast cancer in Oswego County and encourage faculty, staff and community members to receive the cancer screenings they need.

Four Arrests, Officer Injured Following Fulton Fight

At about 1:04 a.m. Wednesday, Fulton Police responded to the area of South Sixth and Rochester streets for a report of several people fighting with a knife possibly involved. Upon arrival, officers reported several people running from the area. While attempting to gain control of one of the defendants, an officer deployed the TASER. One Fulton Police officer did suffer a minor injury during the struggle.

Fair Haven’s All Hallows Eve, Fantasy Witches Parade To Benefit Community Food Bank

The Fair Haven Chamber of Commerce’s  All Hallow’s Eve and Fantasy Witches Parade will once again hit Main Street Fair Haven on October 26  from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Ghosts, goblins, witches and cauldron brew will be in abundance at the village park. The Fantasy Witches Parade, now in its 15th year, will begin at noon.
