The United Baptist Church of Scriba, 5111 State Route 104 East, Oswego, will hold its annual garage sale on May 31 and June 1.
The Oswego County Historical Society will host the third lecture of the season on June 9 at 1:30 p.m. at the Richardson-Bates House Museum at 135 E. Third St. Guest lecturer Joyce Cook will present a program entitled “Oswego’s Noble and Patriotic Army Nurse – Elmina Spencer.”
The 2013 Summer Reading Program theme is Dig Into Reading. Kids of all ages are welcome to participate and earn prizes as they read. Registration is free and starts June 24 through 29.

On May 23, several local Masonic organizations gathered in New Haven to present A wreath at the Moving Wall Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Representatives of Lake Ontario Commandery No. 32, Lake City 127 F&AM, Masonic War Veterans Post No. 32 and Media Shrine carried a wreath to honor those gave their life in service of our country.
