For the second race in a row Otto Sitterly parked his Nicotra Racing Supermodified on the front stretch at Oswego Speedway. This time however, Sitterly climbed out of the No. 7 as a five-time champion of the prestigious 75-lap Jim Shampine Memorial event.
The old saying, “It aint over till it’s over,” held true Saturday night at the Fulton Speedway in the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds. Chuck Bower looked like he was going to overcome early season bad luck and romp to the win. Late in the race the front runners were able to run down Bower setting up an exciting finish.
Jason Simmons has been racing around Oswego Speedway for seven years and Saturday night he finally took his D&S Landscaping No. 98 machine to Turning Stone Resort Casino Victory Lane at the ‘Steel Palace’ as a part of the Helena Chemical Company Memorial Day Weekend ‘Triple-Header.’

Check inside for parade photos and more! Fulton’s annual Memorial Day Salute got off with a bang Friday night. On Friday evening there were many activities held at Recreation Park on Route 3, West Broadway. Local and nationally recognized groups played music. And then, there were the fireworks. The event hours are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today.
There is no place in the world like Las Vegas. The hotels are over the top. We stayed at the Venetian Hotel which is luxurious. The really amazing part was the room price for the nights we were there was about the same the Holiday Inn Express. But the rate is sometime over $300. So, it pays to check all the hotels and look for deals.
