The Fifth and Sixth Grade Spring Concert was held at Sandy Creek High School on May 14. The fifth grade band, under the direction of Valerie Marshall, performed several songs followed by the sixth grade chorus.
A team of professional artists traveled to Oswego County BOCES recently to select staff-submitted artwork for display in the upcoming “On My Own Time” exhibit at the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse.
Nearly 100 students at Granby Elementary School earned the honor of MVP – most valuable person. MVPs are role model students that are recognized for their continuous support of the school’s following four behavioral expectations: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, and Be Ready to Learn.

Granby Elementary School students lined the hallways and members of the school band played the Olympic theme as students from Mary Throne’s Oswego County BOCES special education class at the school, boarded buses for transport to the Central New York Special Olympics.
Just in time for the summer boating season, State Senator Patty Ritchie has announced she has secured $75,000 in state funding to be used for the dredging of the Sandy Pond Channel. Today Senator Ritchie met with local leaders, community members, business owners and members of the Sandy Pond Channel Maintenance Association to make the announcement.
