Oswego Health’s board-certified cardiologist Thomas Grady Jr., returns as the guest speaker at an Ask the Doctor presentation at 6 p.m. April 30 in the lower level conference room of the Oswego Health Services Center, which is adjacent to Oswego Hospital. Dr. Grady will discuss the symptoms and treatment of atrial fibrillation.
Members of the sharing and caring breast cancer support group will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 16 in the community room of Oswego Health’s Fulton Medical Center.
Community members diagnosed with breast cancer can be guided through their journey of treatment by members of the support group.

After more than 90 minutes of debate, sometimes emotional, the Oswego County Legislature named a new county treasurer on Thursday night. Fred Beardsley was appointed by a rather fragmented vote. The vote was 14 yes to 7 no, with 2 absent, one abstention and one vacant.

The Oswego County Autism Task Force is sponsoring its seventh annual Family Fun Walk for Autism on April 27. The family – friendly event will take place at Leighton School and Wilber Field and Track in Oswego, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The 10th annual Oswego Pizza Villa Spring Spruce-Up Day at the Speedway is set for April 20, and race fans are once again welcome to come leave their mark and help prepare the Speedway for opening day on May 4. The annual Spruce-Up Day will begin at 8 a.m. with free lunch being served by Pizza Villa of Oswego at noon.
The SUNY Oswego College Choir, State Singers and Festival Chorus will perform April 29 in a free public concert featuring a cornucopia of compositions spanning the 16th century to the present day. The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, 120 W. Fifth St. in Oswego.
