Kathy Fenlon, executive director of the Oswego City / County Youth Bureau and John Ferry of Oswego County Department of Social Services were honored at the United Way of Greater Oswego County’s Annual Meeting and Salute to Volunteers held March 13 at the American Foundry in Oswego.

Students enrolled in the Stepping Stones Day Program at Oswego County BOCES participated in a classroom activity from their unit on The History of the Earth by designing, building and painting volcanoes in order to complete an experiment using baking soda and vinegar.
Trained child passenger technicians will be available to the public on April 17 from 1-3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Central Square, during the WIC clinic. The event is free and open to the public and no appointment is necessary.

On Tuesday, the New York State Police BCI in Fulton arrested Paul C. Nowakowski, 19, of 454 Chesbro Road in the town of Schroeppel for 1 count of second-degree rape (Class D Felony), two counts of endangering the welfare of a child (Class A Misdemeanor) and one count of sexual misconduct (Class A Misdemeanor).
Earning the honor of VIP at G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton students were treated to a special ice cream sundae celebration. VIPs are Very Impressive Persons selected for exemplary attendance, commitment to academics and role model behavior and are recognized quarterly with a breakfast celebration.
