“Celtic Nights: A Journey of Hope,” a festive celebration of Irish music, dance and journey to a New World, comes to SUNY Oswego’s Waterman Theatre at 7:30 p.m. March 12. Sixteen of Ireland’s most accomplished singers, dancers and musicians make up the ensemble, which is on a 17-city tour from Texas to Maine.

In the seven years since SUNY Oswego sociologist Tim Delaney wrote “American Street Gangs,” membership in gangs has soared, many have moved into white-collar crime and deadly transnational gangs have expanded their trafficking in drugs and humans.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 16, Wal-Mart employees will be donating their time to collect donations of non-perishable food items and invite the community to attend the United Way’s fifth annual ‘Stone Soup Too’ luncheon.
