Oswego Hospital has installed state-of-the art, award winning navigation technology for use during sinus surgeries. The hospital’s new Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) physicians say this new advanced equipment is the best available.
As part of the celebration of National Rural Health Day the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health recognized two partners of the Rural Health Network of Oswego County for their accomplishment and several of its members for their outstanding work.
The Oswego State women’s basketball team dropped its first game of the 2013-14 campaign with a 79-53 loss at the hands of host University of Rochester on Tuesday night. With the loss, the Lakers are now 3-1 on the year.
Plan to attend the Oswego County Holiday Farmers’ Market on December 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mexico VFW, 5930 Scenic Ave. (State Route 3), just north of the village of Mexico, sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County. The brand new team effort will campaign a new generation Hawk Performance Chassis, which is currently on order, along with a fresh Enders Racing Engines power plant for the entire 2014 Novelis Supermodified season at the ‘Steel Palace.’
Brittany Fetterman, a bio-chem major at SUNY Oswego and member of the United States military, is thankful to have witnessed one of her best friends from high school get married. In 2011, Jessie Fletcher and his fellow Marines were carrying out a mission in Afghanistan when a series of explosions went off. He suffered serious injuries. Not only did he recover, but on Nov. 16 he and Emily Ball were married.
Oswego County Opportunities recently recognized employees of OCOs Development Disabilities program for achieving perfect attendance during the past year.
The Oswego State women’s ice hockey team lost an early lead to fall 2-1 at Hamilton College on Tuesday evening. Oswego’s loss snapped a four-game winning streak and a five-game span without a loss. With the defeat, the Lakers fall to 6-2-1 on the season.
