The Pregnancy Care Center of Oswego County announces its annual Walk for Life.
The Pregnancy Care Center of Oswego County is a 30-year-old non-profit that exists to promote a culture of life in our community. To promote life, the center offers free pregnancy tests, material aid and parenting classes.
On September 14, participants from all across Oswego County will join together in support of life. The 2.5-mile walk will begin at Oswego High School’s parking lot, go right by the Pregnancy Care Center at 140 W. Utica St. and continue across the Utica Street bridge to the Peace Garden for a moment of silence for the babies lost to abortion this past year.
The walk will continue down Bridge Street and end back at the high school. If you are interested in raising monetary support a sponsor sheet can be obtained by contacting the center at 343-4866.
Everyone is welcome to join in the walk.
Registration begins 2:30 p.m. and the walk will begin at 3 p.m.
Walk for Life T-shirts, created by Zink Shirts, will be available the day of the walk for $5 each. Last year, 167 people participated including a cheerleading club, a youth group, church groups, clients of the center and individuals.
Complete details can be found at www.oswegopregnancy.org under the events tab.
