The CitadelCap-Haitien is in the northern part of Haiti near Labadee where the Royal Caribbean makes a port call. Sadly, the cruise passengers do not get to see one of the world’s most incredible forts and other interesting places nearby. They are not allowed to leave the site leased by the Royal Caribbean. About 17 miles from Cap-Haitien and five miles uphill – really uphill on a twisty-turny road – is the largest fortress in the Americas.

Sisters at Maroun Elementary perform in a production of Les Misérables

Two students at Michael A. Maroun Elementary School have roles in Baldwinsville Theatre Guild’s musical production of Les Misérables. Larissa and Lily MacDonald, fourth and second grade students at MAM, were cast during auditions in June. They sang a song from the musical to audition with, and both scored a place in the production, despite having never been in a musical before.

Bridge Street In Oswego re-opens

The problem on Bridge Street has caused traffic to back up along Utica Street.

UPDATE:  The Bridge Street bridge in Oswego is re-opened.

Centro routes are back to normal, but may become delayed due to heavy traffic at times.

Crews from National Grid were installing four new light poles in the area West First and Bridge streets Friday afternoon when they discovered a flow of water. Workers were excavating attempting to find the source of the leak and fix it.
