Recently, students at Brewerton Elementary School in the Central Square Central School District, joined together with Craig McGrogan and the Reed HQ Aquarium in Australia for an undersea adventure. The videoconference was part of a distance learning initiative between Oswego County BOCES and Central Square CSD.
The Oswego State men’s basketball battled for a 64-52 win over host New Paltz on Tuesday night. With the win, Oswego improves to 11-5 on the season while moving back above .500 in SUNYAC play with a 5-4 mark.
Mary Vanouse, community development director, requested authorization for the city to enter into a lease agreement with the museum for Oswego West Pierhead Lighthouse. The deal would enable the city to focus resources where they’re needed and the museum would coordinate efforts to preserve the landmark.
The Oswego State women’s basketball team dropped a 68-62 contest to New Paltz on the road Tuesday night. Oswego’s loss drops the team to 6-10 on the season and 2-7 in SUNYAC play while the Hawks improve to 3-12, 1-7.
Margaret A. Beckwith, 79, of Fulton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday January 18, 2014, after a long illness.
