The Oswego County Health Department offers a variety of services to all residents of Oswego County, including preventive health services, certified home health care, long-term home health care, certified hospice, and a maternal and child health program.
The Fall Frenzy will again consist of three race weekends. The first two events will serve as qualifying nights on September 5 and 12. This season’s finale will move away from a typical Friday night, and land on Saturday, September 20.
December 2013 was a degree colder than average – but rather balmy compared to the near zero readings so far in the New Year. Snowfall for the month came in at 4.3 inches below average. Total precipitation for December was 3.15 inches. That is just 0.65-inch below average.

We stayed on the edge of Jacmel at the hillside Le Colline Enchantee hotel where we had a great cabana with an alfresco shower and our favorite amenities – air conditioning and internet access. State Police in Fulton are investigating a four-vehicle crash, that occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. Jan. 3, involving a marked State Police patrol car, on State Route 104 in the Town of Oswego.

Mary F. McCann, 89, of Volney died Friday January 3, 2014, in Oswego Hospital.
Alfred A. Pyzdrowski, 93, of Fulton, died Thursday evening January 2, 2014.
A 1999 Chevrolet Prism was being driven south on Route 104 by 55-year-old James T. Iorizzo of Oswego when the vehicle lost control, crossed over into the north lane of traffic striking a 2008 Jeep Liberty, police said. Mr. Iorizzo was transported by Menter Ambulance to Oswego Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
