Canalview Travel has donated a travel gift certificate which can be used when you book your next vacation; one of the many valuable prizes to be awarded at the “Bundle of Bucks” Charity Raffle drawing event on May 31.

Meghan Yost of Mexico, a junior majoring in History and Political Science, is traveling to San Francisco this week to participate in the Model UN of the Far West Conference as part of Heidelberg University’s delegation. Heidelberg has participated in the Model UN conference for the past 16 years.

The award-winning Oswego High School Buccaneer Bulletin continued the tradition of being ranked among the best scholastic publications in New York State. The New York State Press Association recognized the Buccaneer Bulletin at its annual conference at the Gideon Putnam Resort in Saratoga Springs.

Sandy Creek High School students took their knowledge from the classroom to the courtroom, where they earned first place in the local mock trial competition on April 8. The program is a statewide initiative in its 33rd year and provides students in ninth through 12th grades with an opportunity to learn about the judicial system via hands-on experience.

The Oswego Festival Chorus, conducted by SUNY Oswego assistant professor Dr. Mihoko Tsutsumi, will present its spring concert on April 28 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 103 W. Seventh St. Admission is by donation.

At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Donna Kestner introduced Brian Chetney, director of the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau. He presented a very busy schedule of just what Youth Bureau does.
