Karrie Damm, executive director of the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County (CAC) has announced that Jennifer Delles and Jamie Butler have been accepted as interns at the CAC.

The Oswego County Legislature’s Human Services Committee recently presented a certificate of appreciation to Migdalia “Maggie” Ortiz Rosario for her 25 years of service.

“This year’s fund raising activities will focus on hunger needs,” said OCO Executive Director Diane Cooper-Currier. “Virtually all of our programs and services, as well as our locations, encounter people on a daily basis who do not have enough to eat for themselves or their families.”

Northern NY native to make his 12th bike ride down the California coast for charity. Tommy Gaebel cycling seven days from San Francisco to Los Angeles to Fight HIV/AIDS. He will participate in 545-mile AIDS/LifeCycle ride.

Students at Oswego County BOCES kicked off a fundraising initiative March 28 by learning a bit more about Type 1 diabetes (T1D), a chronic condition that they hope to eliminate by raising money for a cure.

The greater Fulton community is invited to meet city and county elected leaders at the First United Church of Fulton, 33 S. Third St., on April 12 starting with free pizza and soda at 5 p.m.

Students enrolled in the Oswego County BOCES cosmetology program took their classroom knowledge to the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center on March 30 for the St. Baldrick’s Day head-shaving fundraising tradition.

A yearlong school-wide battle for bragging rights at John C. Birdlebough High School culminated with a senior class victory in the Battle of the Classes on March 28 during Spirit Week. Throughout the school year, each class earned points for various service projects and for displaying school spirit.
