For the first time since 1998, the Novelis Supermodified Twin 35s will return to Oswego Speedway presented by Burke’s Do-It-Best Homecenters and Helena Chemical Company. A tradition that started in 1976, Twin 35 Supermodified features were an integral part of Oswego Speedway’s yearly racing program for over 20 years.

Working in partnership with the Richard S. Shineman Foundation, Oswego County Habitat for Humanity has begun its A Brush with Kindness program.
The production, which looks at the foibles of love and live on stage, features two one-act comedies: “Take Five” a comedy by Westley M. Pederson, directed by Donald Crowe and “Who Am I This Time?” by Christopher Sergel, based on the short story by Kurt Vonnegut Jr., directed by Valeri Roscoe Dedich.
At its meeting Monday night, the Physical Services Committee considered a resolution that would prevent the destructive revelry that occurred at Sheldon Beach during Harborfest 2013 from happening again next month. Councilor Michael Todd requested discussion regarding closing Sheldon Beach during Harborfest. That type of behavior shouldn’t be allowed there, he said, adding that the city’s police department and emergency services are already stretched thin during the end of July festival.
