NRG Energy will be sponsoring the Lakeview Stage in Breitbeck Park once again this year. Each year national artists, tribute bands, and local artists are featured on Lakeview Stage throughout the weekend, starting on Thursday night.

State Senator Patty Ritchie has announced several libraries in Jefferson, Oswego and St. Lawrence counties will share more than $188,000 in public library construction funds to make much-needed upgrades, increase handicapped accessibility and improve energy efficiency.

The Oswego County Breastfeeding Coalition and Oswego County Opportunities recently hosted a baby shower at Oswego Hospital for new mothers and expectant mothers from the community. An annual event, the baby shower was spearheaded by the OCBC, an organization consisting of representatives from local businesses and health & nutrition providers who strive to promote and support breastfeeding families.

Oswego Middle School students recently started performing feats of strength as technology teacher Jason Bauer has instituted a new program. The OMS Boys’ Athletic Association Club had taken on an entirely new persona.

Friends of the Oswego Public Library is pleased to announce that the Oswego Lions Club has joined the Friends as a Silver Member. The Friends recently expanded its membership to include businesses and organizations, as well as individuals.
