A non-profit agency that works to protect and serve child victims of sexual and physical abuse, the Child Advocacy Center will have a tent in the Novelis Family Park from noon to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The CAC will host free drawings for a child’s bicycle. The drawings are free, there is no purchase necessary, to enter just stop by the CAC tent and register for the free drawing.
At the G. Ray Bodley High School commencement ceremony held in June, theatre awards were presented to two honor graduates, Jacob Strauss and Bradley Crofoot.

Oswego Youth Soccer has set fall travel evaluation dates for the coming soccer season. All sessions will be held at the Benjamin Fields – 6 – 7:30 p.m.
The Oswego Public Library’s Library Learning Center will offer a four-part Introduction to Computers workshop on August 6, 13, 20 and 27. Each class is free and runs from 10 a.m. to noon.
Burke’s Do-It-Best Homecenters presented the racing action at Oswego Kartway on Friday night with Chris Parker driving to his first career Kartway victory in the Clone 425 division. A longtime veteran of Oswego Kartway, Parker drove his No. 88 machine to a convincing win over previous main event winners Ross Spilman and Paul Fountaine.
