Kim Firenze, 48, of Fulton, died Monday July 28, 2014, after a sudden illness.
I just moved into a new house just outside of Oswego and there are woods across the street. At night sometimes I hear this eerie howling noise. At first, I had no idea what it was, but a neighbor told me there is a pack of coyotes living there and to keep my animals inside as they might attack them.
Take a trip back to when life was simple. Come to the North Volney Methodist Church on August 9 and see those wonderful cars we remember from our youth as well as some of the cars of today. The car show will be from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. on the church grounds with free admission.
New York National Guard troops presented a session of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Citizen Preparedness Training Program at the SUNY Oswego Wednesday evening. The event was held in the Sheldon Hall ballroom. The message of the New York State Civilian Preparedness Corps’ “Aware Prepare” program is be aware of your surroundings and be prepared in case a disaster strikes.
There was an estimated 250 people in attendance Wednesday.
The Fulton YMCA will once again partner with Red Baron Pizza to bring the Loop Around the Lake Kids’ Fun Run on August 23. The event offers a variety of distances for young runners of all ages. Distances include 70 yards for 5 years and under, a ¼ mile for 6-7 year olds, ½ mile for 8-9 years and 1 mile for 10-12 year olds.
