Shallit, Spindler to reawaken Romantic Period with violin, piano
Violinist Jon Shallit of the SUNY Oswego music department will pair with pianist Howard Spindler in a Focus on Faculty concert that seeks to evoke the meaning of the Romantic Period in music at 3 p.m. Sept. 14, in Sheldon Hall ballroom. “I’ve tried to select pieces that convey the real meaning — the depth — of the period,” Shallit said of the concert, titled “The Romantic Spirit.”
Fulton Rotarians Help Stuff A Bus
The Fulton Sunrise Rotary Club recently donated a collection of school supplies in support of the annual Stuff-A-Bus campaign. Held annually, the Stuff-A-Bus campaign, which is a collaboration between the United Way and Oswego County school districts, collects school supplies for children in need throughout Oswego County.

Oswego County Postpones Aerial Spraying Tonight
Aerial spraying of the Toad Harbor / Big Bay Swamp area near the north shore of Oneida Lake is postponed tonight, Saturday, August 30, due to uncertain weather. The forecast indicates varied conditions, such as rain and wind speeds, that would hamper spraying efforts. Weather permitting, aerial spraying will take place Tuesday, September 2.
