Small Block Super Twin 20s Featured at Oswego Speedway

With only one event remaining before Budweiser International Classic Weekend, the Pathfinder Bank Small Block Supers will be featured on Saturday with Twin 20 feature events presented by Oswego County Federal Credit Union and Bosco & Geers Food Market. Despite the division’s inception in 1992, Twin 20 features were not run for the Small Block Supers until 2005. That year it was veteran SBS competitors Dave Gruel and Mike Bond driving to victory lane.

Oswego Police Arrest Trio on Felony Drug Charges

On Monday, the Oswego City Police Departments Anti-Crime Team conducted an investigation into the illegal possession and sales of heroin within the city. At approximately 7:45 p.m. ACT investigators made contact with the three occupants of a 2008 BMW SUV that was located within a parking lot on East First Street near East Utica Street. As a result of the investigation 68 bags of heroin were seized and the three occupants were arrested and criminally charged.

Oswego County to participate in full-scale international security exercise

An upcoming exercise on Lake Ontario, scheduled for Thursday and Friday will bring together federal, state, local and Canadian law enforcement partners in a multi-agency exercise designed to prepare for and prevent cross-border terrorist and criminal activity. There are no known threats against the area, but boaters may notice an increased presence of law enforcement assets on the water. The Monroe County Emergency Management Office organized and Department of Homeland Security sponsored the exercise.

Porky and Buddy Pet Health – Teaching Kittens To Play Nice

I just adopted a new kitten, Harry. He is coal black, totally handsome, and was the last of his litter to be adopted. I think he must have been getting bored with no litter mates to play with because he seems to think I am his new litter mate, which I guess I am. The only problem is while I love to play with him, he is a little rough – tying to bite me – not in a mean way but it still hurts and he is only eight weeks old. How can I get him to stop?

“AmeriCorps, a national service program, is known as the domestic Peace Corps,” said Brian Chetney, Youth Bureau Director. “Currently we have openings in Oswego County for 900-hour positions in the Oswego AmeriCorps and the Oswego Economic Development Corps. The positions will vary in length from six to 12 months, depending on the needs of the sponsoring agency.”
