Blum, who finished second in the 1959 Classic, once again drove the George Adams bright orange No. 90 in 1960, but an early race jingle left him with a disabled front end.

Oswego Speedway continues its summer stretch of action Saturday with Driver Autograph and Ovarian Cancer Awareness Night presented by JP Jewelers. Saturday’s schedule includes a 50-lap Novelis Supermodified main event as well as a 30-lap Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super feature. The Small Block Supers will revert back to running first on the schedule throughout this weekend’s racing.

Office for the Aging Sponsors Training on Elder Abuse Aug. 27

The Oswego County Office for the Aging will co-sponsor a free training program Aug. 27 for professionals who want to learn more about combating elder abuse and the financial exploitation of older people. The training will take place from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Oswego Elks Lodge, 132 W. Fifth St. Registration and lunch are free. Registration is required by Aug. 15.

Teen Enters Guilty Plea in Granby Murder Case, Agrees To Testify

In his court appearance Monday, Zachary Scott, pleaded guilty to one count of first degree burglary, conditioned upon a sentence of 19 and a half years in prison, along with 5 years parole in full satisfaction of the six murder, robbery and burglary charges against him.
In addition to the prison sentence, District Attorney Gregory Oakes said, “As a condition of the plea, he must testify truthfully and completely against his two codefendants, should those matters go to trial.”
