According to the New York State Education Department, in 2010, 82% of high school graduates in New York entered post-secondary education which includes either two- or four-year institutions. In order to attend, most students will apply for some type of financial aid whether it is in the form of student loans or scholarships or a combination of both.

Fulton Pop Warner Pee Wee Raiders Roll To State Championship

Fulton Pop Warner’s Pee Wee football team rolled past the Southwest Colts (Rochester) Saturday at Union College, 34-12. Fulton (10-2) wasted no time showing they were the dominant team after taking the opening kickoff and putting together an 11-play drive capped by an eight-yard touchdown run by Ryan Gugula.

Porky and Buddy Pet Health – Helping Homeless Cats

Here it is November with snow and a smallish cat just showed up on my back porch a few days ago. I think she is sheltering under the porch, but when I go out to try to approach her and coax her inside she takes off into the woods and I don’t see her again for hours. I have been leaving food and water for her and it is gone every morning. I would let her in and take care of her in a heartbeat. How can I help her survive outside in this weather?

The dynasty continues for the Phoenix Central School District’s cheerleading team, which took home its 13th consecutive Section III Class B title during a recent competition. Surrounded by parents, school officials and friends, the Firebirds scored a 97.3 during its championship-winning routine held at Oriskany High School.

Fairley Elementary School ceremony honors veterans, including former teacher

Students, faculty and staff at Fairley Elementary School showed their appreciation for armed servicemen and women during a recent assembly. The patriotic event included a color guard, several local veterans (who were listed and recognized), a tribute to a former teacher and a song performed by the students.
