Every year, Make-A-Wish Central New York creates calendars that are sold to the public and utilized to generate awareness. Developer, Residents Urge City To Save Former Cahill’s Site

The Port City’s oldest commercial building is currently the subject of a lawsuit. On Monday night, the developer and several city residents urged the Common Council to settle the differences and save the historic building. “I remain steadfast in developing this property. I’m here to let you know I embrace this project. I do not want to sue the city (for breach of contract) for I am a true civic minded partner. I have been trying to work with you,” the developer said.

Fairgrieve Elementary students welcome veteran, donate to Wounded Warrior Project

In honor of Veterans’ Day, students at Fairgrieve Elementary School recently welcomed U.S. Army veteran Donna Kestner to its morning assembly to discuss the importance of service and sacrifice. Kestner was stationed at the Pentagon for four years and she told the students about some of the agencies and services available to veterans.
