I enjoy visiting places where history comes alive. I especially like watching the visitors, young and old, get excited about historical events while learning more about history and it is even better when they get to participate in the event. Such is the case at the Boston Tea Party Museum. Most of us know the basic facts of the Tea Party. On the night of December 16, 1773, colonists dressed as Indians boarded three ships in Boston Harbor and threw crates of tea overboard as a protest to the Tea Tax but for many that is the limit of their knowledge and some of the facts get skewed with the retelling.

Sandy Creek Pre-K Students Sing Holiday Tunes

Holiday music echoed throughout the Sandy Creek Elementary School wing recently as pre-kindergarten students treated family members to two separate concerts. Students in both the morning and afternoon pre-k programs belted out classic tunes while dancing and moving along to the beat of the music.

The Resident Council at Michaud Residential Health Services in Fulton continued a holiday tradition of its own by “adopting a family” this holiday season. The council purchased a variety of items that will be donated to a local family in need, with the help of the Fulton City School District.

Fifth, Sixth Grade Winter Concert Provides Evening Of Enjoyment In Phoenix

Student musicians from Emerson J. Dillon Middle School recently took the stage for a winter concert that kept the audience entertained from start to finish. Fifth and sixth grade band and chorus members performed a handful of holiday music ranging from classics such as “Carol of the Bells” to lesser-known songs like “Jolly Alto Saxophones.”

NYS Reading Association Recognizes Rotary Club

Jerry Seguin presented a plaque from the New York State Reading Association to Lori Greeney. The award was given to the Fulton Noon Rotary Club because it provided the funds for the Charlotte’s Web Program in all of the Fulton and Hannibal elementary schools.
