Staff Ready For Softball Camp

The following students have been named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2015 semester at Clarkson University:
The Child Care & Development Council of Oswego County held a full day “Super Saturday” training on May 30 for licensed and registered child care providers at the Scriba School Age Child Care Center.
On June 21, a pancake breakfast will be held at Lake City Lodge 127 at 765 E. Seneca St., from 8 a.m. until noon. The profits of the breakfast will be used to support the Oswego YMCA.
Exalted Ruler Jim Oldenburg presented Merritt Czerow with his certificate from the lodge and a check for $100 for receiving the rank of Eagle Scout.
Residents and visitors to the Port City often enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife on the linear park walkway along the Oswego River Canal. The area recently experienced a spring cleaning thanks to the efforts of Oswego Youth Court members.
Women of all ages will soon come together at the Ladies Rule the Range annual event to test their aim. Pathfinder Fish and Game Club will host the event. Women are able to experience a variety of shooting sports that they may otherwise not have the opportunity to try. “Through the Ladies Rule the Range event we strive to empower women through education and constructive experience in the use of hand guns, long guns and archery equipment,” said founder of the event, LouAnn Daniels.
Marjorie L. Horton, 93, of Fulton, passed away Saturday June 6, 2015, at Hildebrandt Hospice Center in Rochester.
Margaret L. Wiley, 97, a recent resident of Syracuse Home Association, Baldwinsville, passed away at that facility on Tuesday June 9, 2015.
