Participants in the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce Golf Annual Golf Spectacular will have a chance to drive away $10,000 richer. Thanks to two hole-in-one contests sponsored by Burritt Motors and The Fitzgibbons Agency. The Burritt Motors Hole-In-One Contest offers a chance to win a new automobile, while the Fitzgibbons Agency Hole-In-One Contest offers the chance to win $10,000.
Entries are being accepted through August 28 for the 10th annual Erie Canalway Photo Contest. Winning photos will be featured in the 2016 Erie Canalway calendar, which is available free of charge in December.
The following students graduated on May 9, from Paul Smith’s College, which is located in the Adirondack Park of New York state.
The growing season will soon begin for the Fulton Community Garden Project. Members of the Nutrition Collaboration of Oswego County met recently at John Lincoln Park in Fulton to ready the garden beds for planting.
“Head Start began as a summer program 50 years ago. In 1972, the program transferred to OCO and was originally only in Oswego and Fulton. Over the years, we have expanded quite a bit. We now have three centers located in Fulton, one in Oswego, one in Phoenix, one in Williamstown, one in Cleveland and one in our newest location, Mexico,” said Beth Kazel, director of education services of OCO.

OsweGO Sundays which features “Taste the World’s” Mugs and Motors; Antique, Classic and Muscle Car, Truck and Motorcycle Cruise-In and the Port City CoOp’s flea market and a free live music concert will return June 7 from noon to 5 p.m. The first two OsweGO Sundays were overwhelming successes with more than 80 antique, class and muscle cars, truck and/or motorcycles as well as some 1,000 people enjoyed the more than 50 vendors at the flea market.

The Speedway and Price Chopper have teamed to offer this special discount for several regular season events at the fast 5/8 mile oval this season.
