Jeff Coakley, vice president for communications and government affairs, was introduced to the Fulton Noon Rotary Club by Rotarian Lori Greeney at a recent meeting. Coakley spoke about his involvement in the strategic planning process for Oswego Health.
The Oswego County Department of Social Services will host an informational meeting from 9 to 11 a.m. Oct. 10, at the DSS office, 100 Spring St., Mexico, for people who are interested in becoming foster or adoptive parents.
UPDATE (9/21/2015) – Power has been restored to the majority of National Grid customers affected by the equipment failure in Fulton last night (September 20), according to National Grid. After service was restored to many of the affected residences at approximately 3:30 this morning, nearly 80 customers are still left without power, says Virginia Limmiatis of National Grid.

UPDATED A one-vehicle accident occurring at 11:13 a.m. on Sunday left a portion of West Third Street closed and a number of Fulton residents without power. 29-year-old Nathen Macdonald struck his vehicle into a telephone pole on the 700 block of West Third Street in Fulton at approximately 10 minutes after 11 this morning, according to the Fulton City Police Department.
The Oswego County Health Department will hold a rabies clinic from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 7, at the Oswego County Highway Garage, 957 Centerville Road, Pulaski. Rabies is a preventable viral disease of mammals that is transmitted through the bite of a rabid animal.
SUNY Oswego’s 2015 Warren Steinkraus Lecture on Human Ideals, on Oct. 3, will feature Dr. Jonathan Riley, an expert on the work of John Stuart Mill, a 19th century philosopher who significantly contributed to modern political theory.
