New Year’s Eve is a time to look back on the memories we’ve made in the past twelve months and think about what the year ahead will hold. As we prepare to ring in 2016, it’s so important that we take the steps necessary to make sure we stay safe while celebrating.
Fulton Speedway Management is exploring the feasibility of a launching a new 604 Modified class for weekly competition. This class would feature modified cars powered by GM 604 Crate Engines beginning as a step between the Tracey Road Equipment Modified and SUNY Canton Sportsman classes and would begin in 2016.

Millard “Mudd” Murphy, former mayor of Central Square and executive director of the Oswego County Conferences of Mayors started the local drive. This is the second year he has headed up the collection.
It looks like Santa Claus better have wheels on his sleigh tonight. According to Bill Gregway, local observer for the National Weather Service, “Each year we have about a 66.6 percent chance of a white Christmas. This year, it looks like the other 33.3 percent will win out.” After a brief visit from Old Man Winter a couple days ago, December is back in “Indian Summer Mode.”
A candlelight Christmas Eve service will be at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church at 6 p.m. There will be special holiday music and a Christmas message from Pastor Shawn Porter.
Fifth and sixth grade students from Dennis M. Kenney Middle School performed a full lineup of songs during a recent holiday concert.
