The Oswego Lions Club will hold its 18th annual Wine and Beer tasting with silent auction on April 1 at the American Foundry. The event is scheduled for 6:30 to 9 p.m., with pre-sale tickets $15 and $20 at the door the night of the event.
At its meeting Monday night, the Physical Services Committee gave favorable recommendations to several requests for use of public for upcoming events. However, one councilor took exception to the event coordinators advertising the events and seeking participants prior to ever coming to the council to request use of public space to hold the event(s). If, for some reason, the request was denied, it would make the city look like the bad guy, he said.

The final D3hoops.com men’s basketball Top 25 poll has been released, with Oswego State earning the No. 21 spot on the list. Oswego’s ranking is the second-highest final poll finish in program history, as the 2011-12 squad wrapped its season at No. 17.
