Committee Debates, Approves Various Events

At its meeting Monday night, the Physical Services Committee gave favorable recommendations to several requests for use of public for upcoming events. However, one councilor took exception to the event coordinators advertising the events and seeking participants prior to ever coming to the council to request use of public space to hold the event(s). If, for some reason, the request was denied, it would make the city look like the bad guy, he said.

Two New Art Exhibitions To Link Identity, Hometown Community

Oswego State Downtown, corner of West First and Bridge streets in Oswego, will host “Central Perspective: Where, Who and What We Are” from April 1 to May 13. At SUNY Oswego Metro Center in the Atrium Building on Syracuse’s Clinton Square, “Creatively Exploring Place, Self & Collective Identity” will run April 5 to May 25.
