The Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce, together with the Office of State Senator Patty Ritchie, announced that it will host a business and community roundtable meeting. Senator Ritchie will join the group for its monthly meeting on May 19.
Members of the Child Advocacy Center’s Multi-Disciplinary Team were recently recognized at the agency’s annual meeting for their extraordinary investigative efforts. Over the past year the CAC served 456 children, provided 3,111 therapy sessions, and forensically investigated more than 140 cases.
“I hope many of you can come, enjoy a cup of coffee and discuss matters that are important to you. I will also give an update on state matters and discuss the recent state budget,” said Barclay.

At its meeting Monday night, the Common Council authorized a public hearing regarding proposed Local Law No. 3 of the Year 2016 – A Local Law Amending Chapter 176, Pawnbrokers, of the Code of the City of Oswego. The public hearing will be held at 7:10 p.m. May 9 in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 13 W. Oneida St.

State Police said Thursday night the children have been found. The search continues for the two suspects.
The New York State Police and Chief Ronald J. Petrie of the village of Frankfort Police Department (Herkimer County) is asking for the public’s assistance with locating a mother and her two children.

The Village of Frankfort Police Department has activated the New York State AMBER Alert and is investigating a child abduction that occurred near West Main Street, in Village of Frankfort, NY at about 2:21 PM on 4/22/2016.
On May 3, there will be a committee and regular board meeting that will start at 5 p.m. and will be held in the OHS theater. At 6 p.m., the superintendent of schools and board of education will hold the annual meeting and election notice on the 2016-17 budget. Also, that night Oswego Classroom Teachers Association and Oswego City School District Home and School Association will hold a meet the candidate night immediately following the public hearing.
The annual ARISE & Ride for Ramps event will take place on June 4 at Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego. The event offers something for the whole family: a 5K walk/run, motorcycle ride, music, and great food.
There will be a benefit chicken BBQ on May 7 from 11:30 a.m. until gone on the corner of West First and Oneida streets, across from the Village Shops and Pathfinder Bank.
