On Wednesday, State Police stopped a vehicle in Schroeppel for a traffic violation. It was determined the driver, Joseph Rinaldi, of Phoenix, was allegedly driving with a suspended license. Further investigation revealed that Rinaldi and his passenger, Douglas Migliaccio, of Phoenix, were in possession of cocaine and other drug paraphernalia, according to police.
Wednesday (July 20) the counties of Oswego and Wayne released a joint resolution in support of the New York State Public Service Commission’s responsive proposal, which acknowledges the tremendous economic, energy and environmental attributes of upstate nuclear energy plants as a component of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Clean Energy Standard.

As the July 1 demolition deadline set forth in a contract with Aldi has come and gone, city officials remain adamant that the agreement with Aldi will forge on. Interest in a corner lot on South Fourth and Fay streets has come from international supermarket chain, Aldi who then signed a contract with the city of Fulton in hopes to build and open a store at this location by Christmas of this year. Despite the delays, executive director of the community development agency, Joe Fiumara has confirmed that Aldi is still interested and pursuing their contract with the city.
