Ann M. Chwalek, 95 1/2, a resident of Oswego, passed away on Friday August 26, 2016, at the St. Luke Health Services.

This week’s guest at Oswego Rotary was Kristin Earle, development director from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – CNY Chapter. Earle spoke about the disease in general, giving members statistics for national and local numbers of patients suffering from CF, information about a local little girl suffering from cystic fibrosis and various events going on in Central New York to spread awareness and raise funds toward a cure.
Oswego Health’s maternity center is being recognized by two healthcare organizations for providing safe and high quality care to new mothers and their babies. The maternity center was most recently honored by the New York State Perinatal Quality Collaborative, which in partnership with the state Department of Health aims to provide the best and safest care for women and infants in the state.
