Recently, my office was contacted by a family member of a decorated soldier who had retired after serving 20 years in the Army at Fort Drum. In addition to serving the Army with distinction, he found the time to take college courses, earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and raise a family. Armed with the leadership experience from the military and his college degree, it seemed that transitioning into civilian life and finding his next career would be easy.

A popular Budweiser International Classic Weekend bonus will return in 2016 after a several year absence, as the drivers running second during each lap of next Sunday’s Budweiser International Classic 200 will receive a 6-pack of Budweiser beer from Eagle Beverage. The 6-pack will actually provide a bit more refreshment than in years past, as the 6-packs provided will be 16-ounce Budweiser cans.

Golf Tourney Benefits Fight Against Breast Cancer

The Elms Golf Course in Sandy Creek recently went pink as it hosted a golf tournament to aid in the fight against breast cancer. A bright pink ribbon painted on the course welcomed the participating teams as they teed off against cancer.

It had also been over a decade since Whittaker got out from behind the wheel of a race car to build a highly successful business, Billy Whittaker Cars Trux before returning to racing in 2015.
