The Lanigan Elementary School first grade sponsored blood drive was a huge success. The students spent several weeks learning about the human body, in preparation of the Oct. 25 event.

Volney Elementary School second graders hope their life cycle academic unit project goes swimmingly. With the help of their teachers, the students have begun preparation of raising salmon to help them better understand the stages of life.

The Central Square Intermediate School recently celebrated their character education focus for September and October, which is “Responsibility.” Each month the students participate in activities that focus on specific positive character traits.

Lanigan Elementary School fourth graders have learned that hard work leads to great rewards. They exemplified that idea during the recent Parent-Teacher Group’s Bingo Night.

In the library, students in grades kindergarten through second helped Messner read aloud her book, “Sea Monsters First Day” and commented just how fun it is to experience a good book.

Twenty-six Fairgrieve Elementary School students were recognized during a Morning Express program for exceeding classroom expectations throughout the month of October.
