To be held October 12 and 13 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day in the hospital lobby, 110 W. Sixth St., the event features homemade baked goods, and the opportunity to purchase tickets to win some other great prizes including the American Doll, Leah; a collection of women’s accessories from Harbor Towne Gifts, a KitchenAid stand mixer and a gift basket from JP Jewelers in Oswego.

Big Blocks Hit First Dirt at Oswego for a Beautiful First Day of NAPA Super DIRT Week

An unusually warm fall day set the scene for NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week’s first day of practice at Oswego Speedway. The event officially kicked off at noon when more than 35 race cars took to the streets of Oswego for a procession through town. The stage was then set for the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds to hit the newly covered dirt track for the very first time.

Fastest Parade Ever in Oswego

Parades are noted as slow with many breaks. That wasn’t the case as nearly 30 Modifieds, Small Blocks, Sportsmen and Pro Stocks started off at City Line Road, headed to East Tenth Street and then up the Utica Street hill before turning on to West First Street, right on Bridge and headed back to the Oswego Speedway pits. Later, the dirt racers would take to the newly “paved” clay oval around 3 p.m.
