The Department of Social Services is looking for people who would like to become foster parents, particularly for children ages eight and over who may have special needs for supervision.

At 4:41 p.m. today (Nov. 24), State Police in Pulaski responded to a residence on Kehoe Road in the town of Sandy Creek for a report of an individual shot in a hunting accident. NOCA Ambulance transported the individual to Oswego Hospital, where the individual was pronounced deceased, police said.
Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station Unit 2 was manually shut down today (Nov. 24) at 1:36 p.m. for technicians to repair one of the unit’s two reactor recirculation pumps. Technicians are working to repair and test the pumps prior to returning the unit to service.
