Ithaca College student Jonah Restuccio of Oswego won fourth place in the Best Video Sportscast category at the National Student Electronic Media Convention. The award was presented to the student producers of Ithaca College Television sports show, “Hold That Thought.”
Emma Sue Shearin was born in Oswego Hospital on Dec. 4, 2016, at 2:17 p.m.

Sandy Creek Elementary will conduct walk-in registration for the Pre-K class of 2017-2018 on Feb. 1 and 2 from 1 – 6 p.m. on each of these days in the elementary office area. This registration is for incoming Pre-K students aged four years old on or before Dec. 1, 2017.
A tentative agreement between the city and town of Oswego regarding connecting the Ontario Heights Sewer District into the Oswego City sewer system was heavily debated at Monday night’s Administrative Services Committee. However, after nearly two hours of talk, the issue remains unresolved. The committee took no action.
Sandy Creek Elementary School held a special honor ceremony for local veterans and their families. Students at the school invited their special veteran of the Armed Forces guest to the ceremony which began in morning program.
