Several Volney Elementary School students were recently honored for being empathetic throughout the month of December. For their efforts, students received a certificate from Principal Todd Terpening and much applause from their peers and teachers during a school assembly.
Inspired by the Bill Martin and Eric Carle children’s book “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?,” a video chat with Arcade Elementary pre-kindergarten students helped Minetto’s pre-k students meet Common Core learning standards.

The Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation’s Migrant Education Tutorial and Support Services Program annual parent engagement meeting and migrant family day at SUNY Oswego was a huge success. The event unified migrant families, provided educational support and fostered an enriching cultural holiday experience for each of the 70 guests.
Through hard work, dedication and a willingness to learn, a student in the Auto Body Repair program at the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation has taken an internship with a local car dealership and potentially turned it into full-time employment opportunity.
