Ben Hur is a big, devilishly handsome boy, sort of like his namesake, don’t you think? Unlike his namesake, however, he is a true pussy cat who loves laps and backscratching. He may be skittish at first and will probably require some time to adjust to you. It took his foster mom all summer to make friends with him. They are BFFs now!

Oswego County Tourism Advisory Council Names 2016 Tourism Ambassadors

The Oswego County Tourism Advisory Council honored the Lioness Club of Central Square as one of its 2016 Oswego County Tourism Ambassadors for its annual Central Square Apple Festival. For the last 33 years, the club has organized the highly successful event, which attracts more than 20,000 visitors over a three-day weekend in September, with support from local groups and volunteers.

2016 In Review: In February, Oswego Warms Up

In early February, the Port City celebrated what the area is best known for – Winter. The only thing missing was the snow. This year marked the 11th annual Warm Up Oswego Fire and Ice Festival. Temperatures lingered near 40 Saturday; the windchill made it feel even colder. However, the hundreds of people who flocked to Elim Grace Church and all around the downtown Oswego didn’t seem to mind.
