Most Culturally, Geographically Diverse Class Enters SUNY Oswego

The most culturally diverse class ever to enter SUNY Oswego also comes to campus from farther outside the region: The class of 2020 includes nearly 300 freshmen from New York City, six from Washington, D.C., and scores of students from 14 other states and 18 countries. This fall’s enrollment of freshmen from Oswego and its six contiguous counties likely is the smallest ever, estimated at 248 among the 1,445 total freshmen.

Individuals with disabilities and their family members will soon have a new way to save and plan for future expenses with the creation of the 529 Achieving a Better Life Experience (ABLE) program. The ABLE program is similar to the successful 529 College Savings Account program. ABLE accounts are a tax-advantaged savings account that individuals with disabilities can use to pay for qualified expenses.

Late-Race Heroics Score Friesen Fifth NAPA Super DIRT Week Crown

The 45th Annual NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week concluded with Sprackers, NY’s, Stewart Friesen, making a late-race pass to claim his third-straight, fifth overall NAPA Super DIRT Week Bud Light 200 and the $50,000 payday. Tim Fuller in the 358-Modified division held off a charging Stewart Friesen in the Riccelli-Northern Salute the Troops 100 after leading wire-to-wire for the win. David Marcuccilli held on to win the Sportsman Chevy Performance 50 Championship. And Rob Yetman was victorious in the Pro Stock 30 Final.
