A total of 1,515 SUNY Oneonta students earned Dean’s List honors for the fall 2016 semester. To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

Kathie L. Shattell, 66, of Fulton, passed away on Wednesday January 18, 2017, at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse.
At about 8:20 a.m. today (January 19), State Police patrolling Bankrupt Road in the town of Schroeppel came upon a gray Hyundai Sonata off the roadway
against a tree with heavy front end damage. Inside the vehicle, they located the driver and sole occupant, 62 year-old Richard T. Bray, of Syracuse.
